Well, today was Nintendo’s e3 conference. They revealed some neat things. A new add-on for the wii remote has been announced called the Wii Motion Plus. It allows the remote to notice more movements, for example, bending your arm while twisting it. It will be included, as well as a larger remote jacket, with the new game Wii Sports Resort.
Wii Sports Resort was shown with games such as Frisbee (Disk Dog), a jet ski game where the remote and nunchuck serve as the throttle and steering, and a sword fighting game. It is planned to be released next spring.
Animal Crossing: City Folk was announced for the Wii. It will feature a microphone add-on for communication with people who visit your town.
Wii Music was again shown with a professional drummer using both the Wii Remote, Nunchuck, and Balance Board. The Balance Board was used to activate the pedals on the drum set. Later, Shigeru Miyamoto and some other people came out an did a performance to the Mario Theme.
Remember Cooking Navi for the DS in Japan? Well were are getting that here in the US. It is called Cooking Guide.
Nintendo is working with some places to integrate the DS. Some of these include Airports, as you are landing you will be able to see where you can pick up luggage, where nearby hotels and restaurants are, etc.
Those were some of my favorite highlights. The conference is available at e3.nintendo.com, or Gamespot, or IGN, etc.
Sorry for being inactive, I have been really busy with theater things and school work for next year (AP Bio, Summer Reading). I haven’t been able to work on the text walktrough either. It will be done soon though… I promise.
