Super Mario RPG

Super Mario RPG has been confirmed for the Virtual Console in Japan.

What does this mean for us? We have a high chance of getting it here. Many people are very excited about this.

If you haven’t played Super Mario RPG, here is a basic storyline:

Bowser comes in on the Clown Car thing and takes Peach. Mario comes rushing to her rescue and finds her in Bowser’s Castle. Bowser and Mario fight, but during the fight, a giant sword by the name of Exor falls into Bowser’s castle, claiming it as the property of the Smithy Gang. The force causes Mario, Bowser, and Peach to be scattered.

You learn that Exor has destroyed Star Way and thus no wishes can be granted. Your main goal is to get all of the Star Peices back from each area, the final one being held by the head of the Smithy Gang, Smithy.

Super Mario RPG was a great game whith a great story with many twists and turns. It is something thta cannot be completed in one day. Don’t forget, it has some of the greatest secrets too, the hidden treasure chests. Can you find them all? The first one is th hardest!

SML, The Legacy of Legacies

So, it is confirmed… SML is closing its doors for good, unless something very good happens. Visit supermariolegacy.com for details.

I just want to take this time to thank Super Mallow (maybe he will read this) for the time and effort he spent to make that site. I too know that effort and know what a toll it can take on you.

I had a lot of fun over the past year (or more, I think I went to your site long ago, but didn’t realize it then) and will truely miss eveything, the comics, the news, the reviews, and well… just about everything.

I never got a chance to explore the message board, something which dissappointed me since I could have made a good contribution, and it seemed like a good amount of fun things happened (until May 6th/10th obviously)

I also want to thank you for mentioning me. Today, when I saw the page, I almost started to cry for two reasons, I will deeply miss the site, and for mentioning me.

Tanshin – For being one of our constant emailers, supporters, and one of our links. As well as one of our contributors to the Fan Review section. We’ve talked a lot in the last few months. One of the few who bothered to read the full May 10 posting, so thank you

To dispel any un-needed rumors, as SM said, he is NOT making a new site.

Thank you so much

PS: If you do read this, I would like to say a final good bye to you, and if you are up to it, can you teach me a bit of PHP? You don’t have to.

Farewell

Tanshin (Drew)

Back to Super Mario Galaxy news, the walkthrough is coming soon. I have had no time with finals coming up and a concert tomorrow whoch goes with rehearsals, etc. I’m planning on adding more content besides SMG soon so stay tuned.

I am also very sad to say that I have removed the SML banner, the link will remain in the Link section until SML is gone (which would be great if it didn’t go)

New Wii SKU???

According to Neowin.com, we should expect to see a new version of the Wii soon.

Within the next 90-days it is expected that the current version will begin to be removed from stores, and a new one will be replaced.

Do you think it is the long awaited DVD version, or the long awaited colors?

Wii Fit and New Apple Store

On Monday (May 19th) Wii Fit is planned to release. For those of you who live in or near New York City, there will be a fitness trainer there to teach you how to get the best workout from Wii Fit. For every person who comes, Nintendo will donate $5 to the American Heart Association (or one of those). Their goal is $25,000.

On another note, tonight at 6:00 (est), there is a new apple store opening on Boylston Street in the Boston Area. It is three floors with one dedicated to support and seminars. You can get details here: http://www.apple.com/retail/boylstonstreet/

Get there early to get t-shirts.

Super Mario Legacy becomes a legacy

While there is still hope of a miracle, the site Super Mario Legacy (supermariolegacy.com) is set to close on July 22, 2008 (as of today). There is a chance of a revival, it all depends on what happens.

According to Super Mallow’s account of the story, it was caused by the reaction of people who took something small and a semi-prank, and made it into something completely out of proportion. Many people overreacted before Super Mallow was able to apologize for what happened and offer his opinion, and left the site.

More details are available on the site. I am deeply saddened by this news as I am a big fan of the site and use it for much of my nintendo information.

We will miss you all!

BTW, sorry for the lack of updates, school has been really busy lately, and I have had no time for free things and have not been able to work on the walkthrough. When I can work on it (and with finals coming, that may not be until school is out) I will let you know and will finish it as soon as possible.

Smash Bros Updates are stopped

The last post on the Smash Bros Dojo (smashbros.com) was made yesterday. There was a total of 300 posts made.

This Smash blog has spanned about 300 posts in almost 11 months, but now it is time to say goodbye.

Before creating this site, I knew I wanted it to be updated 5 days a week and support several languages. It was clear that this would be a massive scale for a website dedicated to a single game.

A lot of people around me were particularly concerned when I told them I planned to write blog posts while development was ongoing and continue to provide updates. Some argued, some just looked concerned, and others asked, “Can you really do this?!”

And all of the text in the articles was written by yours truly, Masahiro Sakurai. Make no mistake.

But the real credit for making the unthinkable possible should go to the Brawl staff who took screenshots and did follow-up work, and the Nintendo home-page staff who did the updates.

I also must thank the localization staff of Nintendo of America, who did the translation from Japanese to English, as well as the language specialists on the European production staff who handled the translation to several more languages.

I feel gratitude for those who helped that I can barely express in words. This site has been supported by so many staff members.

I created the Dojo with the intention of offering breaking news-type updates prior to the release of the game, and organizing the site so that it could be used as a database of features in the game after its release.

Now that Brawl is available, I am hoping that players will continue to use the site as a resource for information.

Also, there’s always a chance that I will need to update sometime in the future with some kind of announcement.

Thank you, everyone!

SSE

I beat the Subspace Emissary about an hour ago. The main boss *SPOILERS*

Tabuu

*END SPOILERS

Was really hard, he nevers stays in one place, and he just warps around. He also has a move that is an instant ko to your character. The Great Maze takes about two hours with a guide to complete.

What I really enjoyed was the translations they give you for the main theme. If you get a chance, check it out as they are really cool.

SSBB

Brawl is out now! I may make a page with content about it once I get it home. My mom is out right now getting it and should be back any minute. If anybody went to one of the Midnight things at GameStop, tell us about it. I wanted to go, but I couldn’t (parents wouldn’t let me).
